Posted - 07/08/2024 : 18:56:41 I have 5 specimens of M. delicatula: 3 males and 2 females. All of them have the pronotal base "elevated". But,...It is an enough difference to design new species?
I don't know, but me feeling is that formosana i a synonym of delicatula. So, before to know more details, I will maintain my specimens as M. delicatula (White, 1858). Saludos Sergio |

Hi,Moechotypa formosana (Pic, 1917) in Taiwan province,Why not consider this species? Although I don't know the difference between them.
Good question! I don't know if M.formosana is a synonym of M.delicatula. I don't have these species in my collection to compare them, only photos of the holotypes: it seems to me that the base of the elytra is slightly different.
