Hi all.
I have never come across a species like this before so any help greatly appreciated.

Data: Male - 09-2015 - Sapa Mt 1600 m - Lao Cai Prov - Vietnam

I can measure if needed but approx 25 mm.

This looks like a Pothyne or a closely related genus.
Sorry, I can't be of more help. It does look very familiar but I can't remember where I saw it.
