Here a other picture. I think it is the same spec. than the second from Max.

54.98 KB

Thai Nguyen Prov., N - Vietnam, Male, 12 mm.
Hallo Max. Is your Spec. a Male or a Female?
Max Posted - 11/06/2011 : 21:30:41
Well, I have understood! Other exemplars are not present yet.

This has the aspect of a true Tetraglenes.
By basing on the keys, it corresponds to Tetraglenes annamensis Breuning, 1943, which differs from hirticornis in its scarcely punctured pronotum.
It might also be hirticornis, but it is necessary to have both species side by side.
Actually, I do not directly know both your Vietnamese species...

Well, thank you! But I all send a picture, just in case. Because there were some doubts that my brief description of signs has allowed to exclude: annamensis, bacillarius and hirticornis with flavovittatus :)
So, is it rufescens?
Francesco Posted - 10/06/2011 : 22:49:26
Sorry, you are right!
It is Tetraglenes rufescens Pic, 1927, a species endemic from Vietnam.

No, my beetle corresponds to alive exemplar from the first picture (elongated pronotum with longitudinal furrows, strongly porrect tips of elytra, and besides, short antennas, far not reaching tops).12 mm.
A picture I shall make later, probably, it will be possible to determine up to a species.

Yes, but I have also linked a picture of the holotype of Antennohyllisia rondoni.
It is 9 mm long.
Does it correspond to your specimen?
Max Posted - 10/06/2011 : 00:33:12
OK, thanks!
So, Tetraglenes at my material too is present (larger beast, conspecific to the image under your link).
Francesco Posted - 09/06/2011 : 21:42:29
No, it is not Tetraglenes; it is Antennohyllisia Breuning, 1963.
Here I have provided a picture of the only described species (Antennohyllisia rondoni Breuning, 1963 from Laos) but I am not sure that it is the same species.
I can send you its description (in German) by email.
