Thanks for point out the mistake. My specimen is consistent with the description which you listed, although it isn't fit well with the Fig. 14e , due to printing problems, maybe?...
In any case, I will check the original description for prove.
BTW : the same book, there appeared a no marked specimen at the upper right corner on fig.14. I noticed it for a long time. And I got a similar species last year. Do you know who is it? Thanks!

mmmhm... this picture does not correspond to P. submarmorata.
According to the description, this species has the pronotum without pattern and the elytra having:
- the anterior two-third (except for the white net-shaped pattern) ochre-yellow and
- the posterior third with 6 longitudinal ochre-yellow lines.
There is no mention of white pre-apical spots.
I think that the true P. submarmorata is the species figured in Fig. 14e of Breuning (1970).

Thanks you. But I am afraid it isn't P. (s. str.) submarmorata.
According to the figure from the Laos fauna book 1970. We can find the obviously difference at elytral macula and also the shape of pronotum.

Hallo, indica differs from affinis in the rounded elytral apex.
Nonetheless, this is not affinis, which has a sharp elytral basal band, but Phelipara (s. str.) submarmorata Breuning, 1960 from Tonkin, which has a net-shaped pattern (besides other characters).
