6,5 mm à 9 mm (5 ex.).
Hua Phan, nord-est Laos.

Un espèce du genre Sybra peut-être ?

Does anyone have a good copy of the description of Hyagnis fruhstorferi Breuning, 1966?
Mine is unusable...

Yes, close to Cristatosybra jeanvoinei (Pic, 1929):

11 mm, Laos (Houaphan prov.).

This species clearly belongs to the same genus (monospecific).

May be a new species of Mimocentrura ?

Yes, both sex have the same bumps.

So, I need to see a lateral view of this Cristatosybra...

also maybe Cristatosybra jeanvoinei (Pic, 1929) is near, but I don't know this sps well,
otherwise there are Hyganis with such elytral bumps?
Xavier maybe you can check the type in Paris later.

The description fits well.
Maybe Breuning had for the description only one female.

It is not Hyagnis tuberculipennis Breuning, 1961 which has shorter antenna.
I think that a species from Cameron Highlands can not be found in north Laos.

In the Laos fauna (1970), authors speak about 14 specimens collected.
So, we can think that they have compared them... but they say nothing about sexual dimorphism !

Hello Andre,
You're right, she hasn't !
Andre Posted - 06/09/2013 : 15:51:15
Hallo Xavier
Has the female also this mesotibia?
Xavier Posted - 06/09/2013 : 08:21:38
