Posted - 21/11/2022 : 23:43:56 Z. tonkinensis is a complete different species, I have seen in IRSN, I prepare a picture for the type section |

Posted - 20/11/2022 : 18:50:47 In this case, my species seems to be Zorilispe tonkinensis Breuning, 1956:

Posted - 03/01/2022 : 11:29:06 I wonder if the Lao species is related to Zorilispe seriepunctata Breuning, 1939 described from Borneo, and probably confused with a Lao species in BREUNING S., 1964. Tribus Apomecynini Lac. and in RONDON J. A. & BREUNING S., 1970 Lamiines du Laos. |

Posted - 25/10/2018 : 01:24:46 yes there are some remarkable differences of course, I'll check more in detail later my series from Sulawesi & Papua, the different pronotum (length/wide) is a sexual dimorphism too, I have 7 spms from Papua, 1 from Ceram and 1 from Sulawesi with such variations. Do you have some material from Laos males & females. Probably the Laos sps is another one --> see also the very near Zorilispe genus ! |

On this picture, sides of pronotum are different (rounded or not), length also are different . I see here 3 different species !
Then, I do not think it is possible to find the same species in Sulawesi & in north Laos at 1500 m ! |

Posted - 24/10/2018 : 22:59:56 recently I have ID this species as Dolichepilysta celebensis, indeed the distribution is a bit strange Laos - Sulawesi - W-Papua. Maybe we have a widespread sps with a wider range of individual variations in some point like sides of pronotum, punctuation and tomentation. Look f.e. to Sybra alternans a wide distributed and very variable sps. Of course later I have to study the male genitals for more information but from Laos I have only a female.

1. Mimozotale (Parazotale) longipennis (Pic, 1927) (determination by me) 2. sp. of this post
Antenna structure, furrow on mid tibias, shape of pronotum & elytra are the same, I still believe it is a Mimozotale sp. |

Posted - 23/10/2018 : 09:25:42 Well, I have not the description of Dolichepilysta Breuning, 1964...I do not know if my specimens may belong to the same genus.
- On black & white picture, I see that Dolichepilysta celebensis has side of pronotum rounded ( straight on my specimens). - My specimens have a deep furrow at mid tibias. |

Posted - 23/10/2018 : 01:44:47 this sps is also very near to my spms of Dolichepilysta celebensis Breuning, 1964 from Sulawesi and W-Papua, I should study more in detail soon |

Posted - 22/10/2018 : 09:42:25 Another possibility is the genus Mimozotale Breuning, 1951 (Desmiphorini); with 3rd antennomere longer than scapus and as long as 4th, it should belong to Mimozotale (Trizotale). The only one is Mimozotale (Trizotale) trivittata (Pic, 1931). |

Yes, like Mimozotale etc. Do you have more idea about the genus? |
