Your specimen has less white hairs on elytra...You should contact Yamasako & Chou.
If your ID is right, Vietnam is a new locality.

Callomecyna leehsuehae Yamasako & Chou, 2014 to complete the topic.

Hi there.
I have just thoroughly examined the specimen and it fits perfectly with C. leehsuehae. Perhaps a new locality for this species?
Francesco Posted - 04/06/2015 : 09:07:02
Wee, all species are figured in this paper. You can describe it.

Still unsure if it is Callomecyna superba.
Doesn't look quite right, I can take some different photos if that helps.

very similar to C. superba, but in some features different, probably a new sps of this genus, I have never caught this sps in Vietnam.

It seems to me Callomecyna superba Tippmann, 1965

Yes I considered this but it didn't quite match up for me. Hmmm.

It reminds me of the genus Hirtaeschopalaea
