What species is this?
It was observed tapping its feet on a dead palm at a very high frequency.

I don't know R. ruber, but the pictured spm looks like spms I have from West-Papua, but it could be that R. ruber is completely different, without type no idea

It must be checked, because Ropicomimus ruber Breuning, 1939 has been described from Mentawai Island - west side of Sumatra - a little bit far from Singapore.

I don't have the specimen as the picture was taken years ago.
