Dear all
Is this cerambycid (picture taken in Singapore) an Ebaeides perakensis or E.corporaali ? Seems to fit the description of E. corporaali better. Anyone has a picture of the type of perakensis?

I add here the translation of the description of E.malaccensis
Ebaeides malaccensis n. sp.
Similar to perakensis BREUN., but the lower eyelobes slightly longer than the cheeks, the basal third of the coverts dark reddish brown like the whole body, the tomentum brown, finely silky shining, the coverts at the outermost base and in the apical third covered with very small white spots.
Length: 4.5 mm; width: 1.5 mm.

Thank you so much, Xavier! And I can also corroborate that the pronotum of my specimen is more transverse (PW/PL ~= 1.2) than that illustrated for perakensis (PW/PL nearer to 1) |

- sparse, extremely fine punctation of the head and pronotum, long scape, significantly longer than the 3rd antennomere ...........E.corporaali
- head and pronotum impunctate, 3rd antennomere shorter than the scape............E.perakensis
Exactly, your species is closer to the description of E. corporaali. |
