Posted - 05/01/2021 : 10:47:06 For me, it doesn't look anything like a male or female C. dentatus except that both species have some similar color and body length is under 20mm!
Yokoi still has a few new species (perhaps a couple of mine!) of Dorcaschematini to describe. I have not heard any news from him in about 2-3 years.
In the "Remarks" section of our paper, there is a discussion about how difficult it is to define the differences between the genera Cylindrepomus, Olenecamptus, Macrocamptus....
So, JP's specimen could be Olenecamptus by some definition or Cylindrepomus by another.. or even assigned to a totally different genus.
You have sexual dimorphism in a few species, as well as significant size variation in a couple of species.
I suggest that you email Yokoi (I can give you email address or get it from his last pdf on Callidiopini in 2019) and collaborate. |

En agrandissant la photo initiale, vous les percevez.
