Posted - 10/09/2022 : 11:27:28 A very big difference is the shape of the hind wings. As I have written to Larry, there is the possibility that the Yimnashana are actually altitudinal Gyaritus; therefore, Yimnashana might not be a true genus but a group of subspecies characterised by reduced hind wings. |

Gyaritus auratus Breuning, 1963 has two small lateral and visible spines on the pronotum, like your specimen. Yimnashana alfredi Gouverneur & F. Vitali, 2016 (here a paratype) has two minimal lateral spines on the pronotum, barely visible, and less elongated elytra. |

Posted - 06/09/2022 : 21:20:35 Sorry, G.quadridentatus has different spines. Your specimen, with dark pattern is probably Gyaritus auratus Breuning, 1963. I will post some specimens from north Laos this week. |
