First: Minet described the same spm again, I think he did know Breuning's description and sought it was an in litt name

2nd: Dan your spms belong to Protilemoides buergersi Kriesche, 1923, S. papuanus has no elytral extensions in the last third at least acc the drawing, I haven't seen the type (acc Titanbase coll Mauguillon where is this ?)

At the end of his "paper", Minet explain that he found this species in Monguillon's collection, and he used notes written by Breuning. In honor of Breuning, He kept Breuning's name.

So, because it is the same holotype specimen, there is no problem : Minet's paper is just useless.

In Titan database, the right name is Spinocentruropsis papuanus Breuning, 1979.

Dan, in order to read Minet's article, right-click it and select "view image".

I cannot read the article by Minet.... it is too small. Did he designate a type? Did he provide any data? What kind of junk gets published in Sciences Nat?

Did Minet describe the same specimen that Breuning described?

According to Minet, this name was in litteris...

Strange, this species is described in BREUNING S., 1979. Descriptions de nouveaux genres et espèces de Lamiinae (Col., Cerambycidae). Bulletin de la Société Entomologique de Mulhouse [janvier-mars 1979]: 13-15.
I have the paper.

So, I do not understand what is the publication by MINET Gérard J., 1987. Un nouveau genre, une nouvelle espèce de longicorne : Spinocentruropsis papuanus (Coleoptera, Cerambycidae Lamiinae). Bulletin de la Société Sciences Nat, Venette 55: 21.

This is the original drawing.

However, the exact (and complete) name is Spinocentruropsis papuanus Minet, 1987 and this species belongs to Morimopsini not to Phrissomini.
