Posted - 01/03/2016 : 15:56:35 After accurate reviewing of the characters of this specimen, it's in fact a male of A. sinicum (White,1853). As you can see here after, the main differences between sinicum (left) and hainanense (right) are the wider basal folded edge of pronotum and the different shape of the central basal part of the pronotum.

Posted - 21/09/2015 : 15:56:56 This specimen features morphological characters of Aegosoma hainanense Gahan,1900 even if this species is not reported from this country! Otherwise, the closest species known in Vietnam is A. sinicum.. |
