Posted - 08/01/2010 : 10:38:03 Species of this genus can not be identified from the dorsal view. Nonetheless, basing on the locality, it can be only Apocaulus foveiceps (Harold, 1878) or A. dargei Quentin & Villiers, 1977. The black colouration suggests the former species. Apocaulus, though superficially similar to Aulacopus reticulatus Audinet-Serville, 1832 (Macrotomini), belongs to Callipogonini and it is related to Eudianodes. |
