Posted - 23/02/2016 : 14:10:55 For me, your specimen is a new species of Rhaphipodus. It does'nt match any species known in this country. The area of collect is located in the south of Thailand not far from Malaysia, but the Remphanini of Malaysia are the same. Your should consider doing the description of it... Try to contact Alain Drumont to have his opinion.

Posted - 22/02/2016 : 10:45:28 Whaou! Interesting specimen.... It belongs to Rhamphanini tribe, Rhaphipodus sp. The only Rhemphanini I know in Thailand is Remphan hopei and it does'nt match. Black area on elytral borders and suture as well as antenal lenght remind of R.suturalis or wallacei, but the pronotal shape (close to R. blumei) does'nt correspond and these species are not known from Thailand.. New species ? |
