Posted - 24/03/2015 : 17:16:45 You are right Thierry, sorry I forgot the specie you have described in 2011. Even if M. serrata could be found in Tanzania, as you know, it features the same criteria concerning the spines on anterior legs (spines on both sides).

Posted - 24/03/2015 : 16:23:15 there 3 species in Tanzania : palmata, natala and drumonti. probably serripes also occurs in forest in eastern part. those probably came from a Tanzanian dealer like pasiensis that hunted in central and southern part. |

Two species are known in Tanzania: M. natala and M. palmata M. natala features spines on both sides of femurs anterior when M. palmata has only spines on internal sides. I think these specimens are probably M. palmata in spite of habitus variations (which is quite frequent on priones). |
