Posted - 27/01/2017 : 16:21:25 After the last revision, the name of this species is simply Mallodon baiulus (Erichson, 1847). |

Posted - 21/01/2011 : 17:32:30 It is a female of Mallodon dasystomus baiulus (Erichson, 1847). |

Posted - 20/01/2011 : 09:26:19 No, I though to the pro-episternal suture (arrow), which usually is bowed in all Physopleurus-females (images collected from Santos-Silva & Martins, 2003). In your specimen this suture seems to me right. Moreover, the pronotum is smooth, while it is punctured in Physopleurus. Hence, I think that it might be a female of Mallodon. Could you check the genae? |

Francesco |
Posted - 17/01/2011 : 21:19:05 I suspect it might be a female of Mallodon. Please, could you add a picture of the ventral side of the prothorax? |
