Posted - 22/10/2016 : 16:32:05 2 different species here. Left: male of Praemallaspis rhombodera Bates, 1879. Right: female of Praemallaspis argodi Lameere, 1909. Both are reported from Colombia and very close to each other. The form of the pronotum immediately separes them: narrowed anteriorly towards the head (= rhombodera) or regularly rounded without constriciton (= argodi).
