The shape of the apex of the elytra is not a good match to T. angularis. I don't believe the markings on the elytra are a good match either.

Also, T. angularis has never been recorded from Sulawesi. In fact, none of the Thylactus species have been recorded from east of Wallace's Line. The genus Aetholopus has 2 or 3 species which have been recorded from this region of Indonesia.
