The photo of the type of C. sumatranus Franz, 1954 appears to be the same as what Konstantin posted to begin this discussion.
attached is a specimen I have. It is quite similar to C. lateripictus. Perhaps the article by Franz will have an explanation.

Posted - 28/11/2009 : 19:26:54 After a long reflection, I'd say I don't known Xylorhizini form Malacca without prothoracic teeth, except for Xylorhiza adusta. My guess is that is a species not recorded/described from Malaysia yet, probably belonging to the genus Cyrtogrammus. |

This specimen is colllected in Malaysia on the Genting Higlands. I also saw the same one at local diller's stock at Tanah Ratah. |
