Posted - 24/11/2016 : 23:47:55 yes Miccolamia is the right genus for your sps and close to M. savioi Gressitt, 1940, furthermore I can exclude the species described by Holzschuh 2003, 2010 and Pesarini & Sabbadini, 1996 all are different. Probably your sps is new for science |

Matsuo, S. & J. Yamasako. 2011. A new replacememt name, Languriomiccolamia, nom. nov. for Languriomorpha Fisher, 1925 (Coleoptera, Cerambycidae, Lamiinae, Desmiphorini). Jap. J. Sys Ent. 17 (1): 67-68.
I have never seen this genus from Borneo. Languriomiccolamia is still apparently known from only the holotype from Sandakan, Sabah. |

Posted - 05/08/2016 : 07:04:26 the specimen looks similar in habitus to Languriomorpha but has many differences, apparently seen are: the eyes are not divided; antennae is not pedunculate rather it is bulbous... actually elytral base does not have spines but it is bulged a bit (like a ridge)... |

Posted - 03/08/2016 : 23:40:56 maybe Languriomorpha Fisher (Desmiphorini), I see spines at the elytral base in your spm, maybe a sexual dimorphism, see also: http://smithsoniancerambycidae.com/default.asp?Action=Show_Types&Single_Type=True&TypeID=900 |
