Close to M. cleroides Bates, but pronotum with two premedian discal tubercles, reddish except in the center, the dark brown color of the apical half of the elytra reduced to a broad transverse postmedian band. Length: 4 mm. (Translation of the text of Breuning's Révision de la tribu des Rhodopini , 1975-1976).

Posted - 09/11/2024 : 18:52:54 Thanks Ivan,
The basal elytral tubercles are simple without an apical spine.
Do you or Xavier have the Pic 1935 paper with the description of M. binodosa?
Or better yet, an image of that species?
Thanks

Posted - 09/11/2024 : 11:42:49 Yes, more like the genus Miccolamia Bates, 1884 because the genus Mimogyaritus Fisher, 1925 is characterised by elytra with a long, curved, postbasilar disc spine, which I can't see on Larry's photo. |
