Lamiini: Acalolepta

I do not know why somebody keeps using "Monochamini", which has no grounds.

Acalolepta laevifrons (Aurivillius), based on this photo, courtesy of a colleague in Sweden

The Tribe Monochamini is what is used in the current catalogs of the Palaearctic and the New World.

Yes I know... despite this weird catalogue, this tribe was synonymised in a Worldwide monographs (Breuning, 1943-44) and nobody provided another one stating the contrary.

That because there are no diagnostic characters in order to separate them in Worldwide scale (cf. Lingafelter & Hoebeke, 2002).
Thus, waiting for further official monographs, Lamiini = Monochamini

Breuning made more mistakes than I can count.

I agree but this objection is irrelevant in this topic...
