Selon le tableau de Breuning (1943-44) P. assimilis diffère de arouensis pour l'apex des élytres arrondi (assimilis) au lieu que obliquement tronqué (arouensis).
La couleur semble être la même.
De plus, P. assimilis est distribué seulement en Nouvelle-Poméranie (= Nouvelle-Bretagne)...
Il y a plusieurs fautes dans ce site: regarde rubropunctatus et acuminipennis (en effet un synonyme du premier).

Ces deux derniers devraient être deux Pelargoderus rubropunctatus (Guérin-Méneville, 1838).
