Kaeng Krachen NP, Petchaburi, Thailand

I think this is a Diastocera species.
It looks like D. wallichi, but the pictures I have seen do not show the metallic blue legs with red bases.

Merci, encore, Xavier. I think the ssp. here is Diastocera (or should it be Thysia?) wallichi tonkiniensis. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Thank you for your pictures Les!

The name should be Thysia, the reason is written in this paper.

Hi Francesco,

very interesting, I don't know this fact, that means Diastocera is occupied by D. trifasciata (F., 1775) this is synonym to Analeptes Gistl, 1848, or ? The status of Thysia is already published or not, because in Löbl's catalogue is written Diastocera (with the wrong author Thomson, 1857 as well ?).

The quoted article has been published by ICZN (in 1986!) and has(d) immediate and obligatory effect.
Diastocera Dejean, 1835 (= Analeptes) is however valid for monotypy and cannot be contested validly, as other weak (and invalid) Dejean's names such as Cerosterna or Deroplia.

Thysia, the first valid synonym, became automatically available for wallichii.
In more recent times, Danilevsky published (correctly) this synonymy as new; actually, it was already active since 1986.
