I have also 2 spms from this stranges Pteropliini (?) but the description of Breuning (1959) is completely different regarding the pictured spm, so I have no opinion about this animal.

I have a series of this pteropliine and size ranges from 18 to about 25 mm ... from South Sulawesi. I haven't found a name for it yet.

This species is Eczemothea pustulifera Schwarzer, 1926.

I have to stretch my imagination to see the resemblance between the species illustrated above and the photo of the holotype recently posted by Xaurus on the page of Lamiinae types!

In fact, the specimen of this topic is a Syntype of the new species Eczemothea caenosa n. sp.
