I have a problem with the following species:

It looks identical to the beetle here, which is named Thylactus chinensis Kriesche, 1924.
In the Iconography of Chinese Cerambycidae, a completely different beetle is shown under such name. Please. have a look at the picture below.

Which of the beetles has a wrong name? The one in the Iconography has antennae and alytra tips almost identical to those in Thylactus simulans. |

It is probably another misplace in the Iconography book. I found on the same page you mentioned in that book, there are at least two misplaces, the image of no. 1383 is a Paraglenea fortunei, not Thyestilla gebleri, and the image for no. 1390 is not Uraecha angusta. |

Your intuition is right Vitali: Thylactus simulans are both Fig. 1384 and 1386 of the Iconography of Chinese Cerambycidae. |

After clarifying the question here, we should probably change the name to Thylactus densepunctatus Chiang & Li, 1984 also in this add. |
