Hi,
I have a problem with this genus too, I couldn't id a spm from Arunachal Pradesh, maybe only to tribe level Lamiini (= Monochamini). |

Yes, I think too it's a Lamiini. But because we have similar specimens of different countries, it seems to be a common species. It's strange that we don't find a picture or a description in any work ... |

I think Andre's specimen should be also Monochamus convexicollis Gressitt, 1942, like here, and here for the type.
Your specimen, xaurus, seems a little bit different; ... but may be it's just a variation ?

Monochamus convexicollis Gress. is a wrong ID coming from the inverted labels from this page. This species is ( or close to) Mimothestus atricornis Pu, 1999 |
