22 mm. Hua Phan, nord-est Laos.
La seule espèce mentionnée par Gressitt (1970) est Sarmydus antennatus Pascoe, 1867.
Est-ce bien cette espèce ?

Une autre possibilité serait Sarmydus loebli Drumont & Weigel, 2011 du Yunnan proche, dont je n'ai pas la description.
Ici une photographie de cette espèce : yeux rapprochés, pilosité du pronotum, côtes élytrales...Elle me semble la même.
Mais je pense que quelqu'un du forum peut m'aider ...

Yes I have, antennatus has 2 color antenna with basal segment dark but other pale light, the basal margine of pronotum form a middle lobe, not nearly strange as your specimen

I agree with you, I don't see any difference between LIN's picture and my specimen. It seems to be the first record from Laos.

There is another species, S. fujishiroi from North Vietnam and South China, but the surface of the elytra is different
