6,5 mm à 9 mm (3 ex.). Nong Khiaw, Luang Prabang prov., Laos.

D. martialis Gr. & R. Faune du Laos (1970), fig. 41f |

Dear Xavier,
I have 2 spms of D. martialis determined by Dauber are different from yours and the picture from the Laos book, now what's right, I know there are many errors in the fauna of Laos, many pictures are wrong etc., everytime the same we should prove the types. |

Yes Andreas, it's always the same problem !... But for this species, have a look here (I don't find the direct link to the species, sorry Larry) : http://plant.cdfa.ca.gov/byciddb/default_wImage.asp
So, I think it's really the good species :
Demonax martialis Gressitt & Rondon, 1970 Specimen Type: holotype Sex: f Institution: BPBM Bernice P. Bishop Museum, Honolulu, Hawaii, USA Photographer: Jim Cope Collection Location: Tha Ngone, Vientiane Province, Laos |
