Hi. This Ceroplesis seems different from all C. militaris irregularis that I have.
First of all, it is small, 19 mm, and has very strong punctuation in the first quarter of elytra.
May it be just another subspecies?

The pattern corresponds well enough to the "morph" regularis Hintz of the nominal subspecies.
The body size is actually a bit too small: Breuning quoted 26-43, but Hintz quoted 22-35 mm for his subspecies regularis!
Breuning considered different taxa as morphs of militaris, maybe erroneously...

Thank you, Francesco! Sounds logical. If it is not "irregularis" then it is "regularis"
So, this is just a nominal subspecies(?) If you have a paper on Ceroplesis, would you please send me a reference to my private address?
