recently I have ID this species as Dolichepilysta celebensis, indeed the distribution is a bit strange Laos - Sulawesi - W-Papua. Maybe we have a widespread sps with a wider range of individual variations in some point like sides of pronotum, punctuation and tomentation. Look f.e. to Sybra alternans a wide distributed and very variable sps. Of course later I have to study the male genitals for more information but from Laos I have only a female.

On this picture, sides of pronotum are different (rounded or not), length also are different . I see here 3 different species !
Then, I do not think it is possible to find the same species in Sulawesi & in north Laos at 1500 m ! |

yes there are some remarkable differences of course, I'll check more in detail later my series from Sulawesi & Papua, the different pronotum (length/wide) is a sexual dimorphism too, I have 7 spms from Papua, 1 from Ceram and 1 from Sulawesi with such variations. Do you have some material from Laos males & females. Probably the Laos sps is another one --> see also the very near Zorilispe genus ! |

I wonder if the Lao species is related to Zorilispe seriepunctata Breuning, 1939 described from Borneo, and probably confused with a Lao species in BREUNING S., 1964. Tribus Apomecynini Lac. and in RONDON J. A. & BREUNING S., 1970 Lamiines du Laos. |

In this case, my species seems to be Zorilispe tonkinensis Breuning, 1956:
