Hi all
I get these very confused and have included three different specimens.
If I could have some help and tips to identify similiar Glenea species then that would be great.

Thanks
Ben

Hi Ben,

the species from Sulawesi is Glenea spinifera celebensis Ritsema, 1892, while that from the Philippines is Glenea beatrix Thomson, 1879.
I do not completely agree with this setting.

I take the opportunity to notice that Vives (1913) replaced Glenea spinifera with Glenea voeti.
This is an evident mistake.
In fact, in addition to the fact that Voet's names are valid and considered available for more than two Centuries by all past authors, G. spinifera should be replaced by G. venus, according to the rules of ICZN... without thinking up new vain names...
