This species, throughout black and with bispined elytra, might be E. abdominalis Pascoe, 1869.
If yes, the last three abdominal segments are covered with white pubescence.

I have erroneously read my descriptions : the ventral side is completely white - except for the last three ventrites - in E. abdominalis.
Ok: confirmed.
