Thank you Shinichi, I edited the country of this specimen, I wrote Malaysia instead Borneo!!!! Sorry....
I don't know if this species is present in Borneo... |

For Titan database, G.subviridescens is in China: Yunnan ; Laos: Hua Phan Prov. ; Thailand: Chiang Mai Prov., Mae Hong Son Prov. ; Vietnam: Vinh Phu Prov.
I don't think it could live in Borneo. |

I believe it is Pseudochlorisanis similis (Gahan, 1907). (type loc: Sumatra)
I have seen many specimens from Sabah. My first specimen was identified by Hudepohl over 15 years ago. Occasionally, he made a mistake with determinations.
I have also seen a large green metallic Glenea from Sabah, which is somewhat similar to G. subviridescens, and different from this species in the photograph. |

I have inserted here the description of Chlorisanis similis (p. 108) and hardly identify this species and Vives's specimen with this.
According to the description, C. similis shows legs, antennae and sutural and lateral margin of elytra violaceous-blue.
This and Vives' specimen has only red femurs!
Moreover, the ventral side of the pronotum shows a white spot at each side; it is not entirely grey as described by Vives... |
