(Figs. 1, 2) Body length: 22 mm; width: 5 mm. This species is close to Gnathostrangalia aurivillei (Pic) of Vietnam, but it can be distinguished from the latter by the elytral markings: (1) elytral margins decorated with fine black rim; (2) an elliptical black spot closed to the lateral margin just before middle instead of an irregular black mark; and (3) 1/4 of elytral apices deep-black. Holotype female , Guangxi (Wuming, Taming Shan), 25-V-1963, Yang Chi-kun coll.
(CHEN Li & CHIANG Shunan, 1996.Three new species of Lepturinae (Coleoptera: Cerambycidae) from China. Entomotaxonomia 18 (3): 188-192, 8 figs.) |
