greetings from northern Vietnam from Andre and Andreas (Xaurus), unfortunately our sticks every time to short for the marvelous Castanopsis trees.

Try to find long sticks of bamboo ! Castanopsis trees are marvelous for longhorn beetles, you know that...

I and my colleagues ever collected longicorn beetles in Yunnan (2011-2014), collecting longicorn beetles is always a nice experiences, let's look forward to next year.

How long is that handle that you are swinging at the tall trees? Did you make it yourself? Or where did you get it? You must have a way of breaking it into smaller pieces in order to transport it. My little tropic net has a handle that is is only 5 meters. My goodness, if I had a net like that in Nicaragua, I could have collected a cabinet full of beetles every day!!

Yes, I bought the stick from a friend, who is an insect-fan and sells the sticks. The stick I used is 9m (strech completely), 1.2m or so (shorten completely), 2.5kg or so, 80$ or so (not including mail fees). |
