I can not see the pronotal spines. Are they present?

Yes you are right Max, there is an intense silver lustre in fresh material, but dead spms are often sticky, you get a complete new view with cleaned spms. Generally I wash dirty spms in clean water and dry them with benzin or ethyl acetate.
