In this case as well, I'd avoid following the Titan base, which accepts certain papers which "were addressed without an understanding of that history, and in a simplistic and legalistic manner, contrary to both the facts and an ultimate goal of stability" (as Michael Ivie wrote here concerning some Bostrichidae).
In fact, Pachystola has been used for this taxon since 1850, and not for Lamia, as the author of this nomenclatural change claims. |
