Dear Lenny,
This forum is about Cerambycidae, and this section is only in case of...mistake, for beetles which look like Cerambycides.
But may be somebody is able to find an ID...

I've often seen this species in north Thailand and north Laos, and after researchs seems to be Oides andrewesi Jacoby, 1900, Subfamily Galerucinae.

-Search on web : Kimoto S 1989 Chrysomelidae Coleoptera of Thailand Cambodia Laos and Vietnam IV Galerucinae Esakia 27 "l 241" filetype:pdf and have a look p 33-35

- here: http://www.archive.org/stream/coleopterachryso04jaco#page/106/mode/2up

Maulik, S. 1936. The fauna of British India including Ceylon and Burma. Coleoptera, Chrysomelidae (Galerucinae) IV. Have a look p 105/109

- Some bads pictures on the web with the name Oides bipunctata.
