Looks like R. fontanieri (Lameere 1915).
R.taprobanicus is located on Sri Lanka (Ceylan) and I'm not sure that it's known from India.

coming back to this topic,...fontanieri (as per Lameere, 1915) differs from subopacus in having elytra entirely glossy, finely and densely punctuated with scattered large dots but the specimen in my current post is neither glossy entirely nor finely punctuated, rather it is dull on lateral sides with fine granulations....so it doesnt fit into the description of R. fontanieri...it leaves the topic open for further discussion
