Maybe both specimens are Pachylocerus corallinus Hope, 1834, or are different species??
1. Thailand, Chiang Mai. Size: 23 mm
2. Indonesia, Bali. Size: 21 mm |

In Thailand, there is Pachylocerus sulcatus Brongniart, 1891, but your specimen n°1 has not the pronotum like this one from Laos... . Which one is a "good" P.sulcatus? |

May be you should check the types of P. sulcatus (Thailand and Laos) and P. pilosus (Java) in Paris. |

For the species n°2 from Bali, what is the difference with Pachylocerus sabahanus Vives & Heffern, 2012 ? and with Pachylocerus sulcatus Brongniart, 1891 ? May be Eduard could help you, Sergi ? |
