Mimosebasmia purpurea Pic, 1948 looks similar, but different pronotal surface and elytral apex, a stange spm. Bill you have a lot of very interesting vietnamense species where to you get this material.

I purchase it from several sources, one in Da Nang, the other further north. Mainly Ebay purchases and have had no problems with them. bill |

Same for me, I thought in first to M. purpurea Pic, but it is not that species. I don't know this one... |

Mimosebasmia is a monospecific genus, so if it is a Mimosebasmia, it is a new species. |

Here is the other specimen. It too has the right antenna broken and it may not be a male as I am not familiar with the genus. |

I have received Lambillionea where Eduard Vives synonymised Mimosebasmia with Gibbocerambyx. I perfectly agree with him. Thus, the new name of this species: Gibbocerambyx fedorenkoi (Miroshnikov, 2015). |
