The are two subspecies of Agelasta tonkinea in China.
Is it possible to tell which one is this beetle from Guangxi?

it seems to be Agelasta elongata Breuning, 1965

Yes, type specimen (Bishop Museum) is rubbed, but your specimen is Agelasta (Dissosira) elongata Breuning, 1965
