There are 21 described species ( I have photos of 17 of them) of red and black Erythrus known from Sabah ( and maybe 6-10 awaiting description) that I know about. This looks like E. wuggenigi Holzschuh, 2010. female. For those interested, you can compare the shape of the apex of the elytra (rounded, truncate, tapered ) and usually reduce the number of potential species to just a few and then compare body shape, the features of the pronotum, and sometimes the antennal segments. The red and black patterns on the pronotum and elytra are sometimes useful, but not always sufficient to separate these species.
