Well, you did not specify the Tam Dao specimen and sent the PGN pic back to me. Was very unsure of what you wanted. The pronotum seems to be a bit longer but the faint pattern looks similar to the PGN specimen. If it ranges that far then variation may be in play.

Ok Bill, no problem. You have post 2 times the same picture from Tam Dao. I do not speak about specimen from PNG.
I wanted to know if it has spines (you answer "yes"), and if antenna are white on last segments.
The median white band is large on elytra, but your specimen is close to Demonax alboantennatus Gressitt & Rondon, 1970

Just a mix up on my part. The spines are dark as I mentioned but have not checked the antennal tips. Will do that today and let you know.
Really appreciate all the work you and others are doing to help us.

Antennae are grey throughout.
