I have been using two pronotal denticles for Bumetopia vs one for Homonoea. Is this a valid morphological separation point?

Your spms has 1 or 2, difficult to see at your picture. Sorry principally I don't use Breuning's key for determination, this waste time in each case.

It has two. Never seen Breuning's key, just picked up the denticles on my own.
