I think this one should be an Asaperda sp.
Is it possible to name it with this picture ? Otherwise any help with related literature would be appreciate.

31-V-2005 Japan, Yamanashi pref., Shimobe town
Scale is 1 mm

it seems to be Asaperda agapanthina Bates, 1873

Thanks. Through Larry's site, either the species is very variable either he illustrated different species. I will try to understand more, unfortunately, I only have this specimen for this genus, so hard to compare. But let's try again on the basis of agapanthina.

Dear Sebastian,
Asaperda agapanthina includes seven subspecies in the different islands around Japan, Taiwan and continental Asia, which Larry's website has guiltily synonymised.
That explains the differences you observed.

In the Pref. Yamanashi you should find the typical form, which always is the same: grey with a median dark band.
