Data: Pachyteria lambii - 04-2002 - Cameron Highlands - Malaysia - 21mm

Pachyteria chewi - 20-07-14 - Trus Madi - Sabah - Malaysia

I still think these are correct going on the keys.

These were both collected as said specimens.
lambii thorax seems less elongate?
I have yet to see a chewi with such a dumpy composition.

That does not look like chewi. I don't have access to my collection now, but you should consider the other two similar species in Sabah: basalis and pryeri.
Are you using Morati and Huet's key?

The pronotum of both species is punctured; thus, basalis and pryeri are out.
It might also be Pachyteria jeanninae. Body size?

Have you tried to use Philippes's key to Pachyteria present in our Site here?
