Hello all.
Unsure of this one, it has a beautiful downy brick red colouration.

Data: Borneo - 30 mm
Acalolepta sp?

What is the locality? A close-up of the pronotum might help. I can't determine whether I have seen this before.

I do not know species in Borneo with such aspect and size.
It might be a Monochamus.

Hello there. Unfortunately I have no additional data to go on. I will get a close up of the pronotum tomorrow. I will search in Monochamus for the time being, thanks.

Yes, Monochamus: the cicatrix is evidently closed.

No data except "Borneo"? Very unfortunate. Is that even reliable?
If Breuning described it, he could have created another genus!! It is not a described species from Borneo, however there are Sumatran and west Malaysian species which have not yet been recorded from there

Just found a label that was in the same box that doesn't match as it was in a box of African specimens.

Sabah, North Borneo.
